previous - next why this text is green Brightish green on black isn't the nicest looking layout, is it? I chose the color scheme because I used to own a very cold IBM PC. The original IBM PC, I believe. No hard drive- I had to put the 5.25 DOS floppy into the disk drive every time I started the computer. Another disk for the word processor.

The computer had a monochrome screen that looked pretty much like this window, except with fatter, fuzzier letters. It was early 1980's technology, after all.

This was around 1994, by the by. Free computer for a young Fader. Glowing green, warm and sterile, like piss, in the dark living room.

There aren't that many things I'm sentimental about from that period of my life. A favorite radio show and the smell of modeling dough. The green on black colors don't bring me back to that time- but they must bring me somewhere.
